I really wish these held up better over time. It’s super annoying and disappointing.

If your truck’s ever been off-road for more than 5 minutes, the previous owner probably ripped it off. I had to yank mine off my 2022 work truck almost immediately. It’s only held on by a few bolts anyway.

I lost mine in the snow last week. Found a metal one on Amazon for $68, and it just arrived today. It even has a hatch for oil changes.
Snow wrecked mine too, but I managed to reattach it with a steel L bracket and some bolts from Home Depot.

Honestly, just toss it. It’s mostly there to meet MPG specs for the window sticker.
Replaced mine with a metal one on my Expedition. Way more durable.

Some folks call it hairy cardboard. Genuine UAW pubes included.
Mine on my ‘21 was barely hanging on until yesterday. Poor design—putting the screw holes right on the edges was a terrible idea.
LMAO, same thing happened to me yesterday. Had nothing but a Leatherman on me, so I just cut it off. Looking into metal plates now.

Yep. Snow and slush soak it, then it freezes and breaks. People constantly tell you something’s dragging. Then you just rip it off.

Does it even protect anything? I’ve got the FX4 skid plates.
