Hey all, I have been off-roading in many parts of Colorado, but can’t really think of any fun trails to drive the Raptor on a little faster. I have lots of curvy fun trails though.
Any recommendations where the Raptor can pet its hair down a little? Preferably in southern Colorado.
Dinosaur Footprints Trailhead: There are long, straight roads leading to and from the trailhead. If you’re up for a hike, you can check out some cool dinosaur footprints. Coordinates: 37.6595309, -103.5709721.
South Central:
Zapata Falls: A long, winding road with some turns, and a short hike to the waterfall. Expect some traffic, especially with a couple of blindish turns. You can choose a short hike to the falls or a longer one to a lake. Most roads in the San Luis Valley are gravel and straight. Coordinates: 37.6285472, -105.5950877.
Southwest:
Chaco Culture (NM): This area sees heavy tourist and oilfield traffic, but there are stretches of over 10 miles of high-speed dirt roads.
While there are many small spots to explore, some of them may not be as safe.
