The Ford Bronco Raptor’s MSRP Quietly Increased by Over $20,000

TopherDrives introduces the 2024 Bronco Raptor in a new video by discussing how the starting MSRP has increased by about $22,000 USD since its 2022 introduction.

2022: $68,500 2023: $86,580 (later cut to $80,580) 2024: $90,035

TopherDrives ponders what has caused Ford to raise the price so much and cannot conclude a reason why.

Is the Ford Bronco Raptor worth itself plus a 2024 Chevrolet Trax?

It’s like those stores where everything is marked 50-75% off, but the prices are what you’d normally pay anywhere else. You feel like you’re getting a great deal, but in reality, you’re just paying the usual price.

Ford does the same thing—they hike up prices just to bring them back down to the original cost. Most customers think they’re scoring a bargain, and they end up making the purchase.

I think they’re inflating MSRPs on models like the Maverick, Mustang, and Bronco just so they can eventually bring back those “Take $10k OFF MSRP + TAKE MY WIFE HOME” type of sales.

I saw someone in the Bronco Facebook group snag a Bronco Raptor for $75k out the door this week. That’s $20k off the sticker price, and honestly, that’s probably what the car should really cost (the 2022 MSRP was $70k).

But hey, now we can feel good about buying a car way below MSRP again, so… yay.

They’re way too attached to the idea of what they’ve got, refusing to accept anything less! I’ve sat in one and driven it, and honestly, for the price, the interior should be much better.

I never imagined they’d be priced so high that the Bronco would feel out of reach for me.

From what I’ve seen in my circle of friends, colleagues, and clients:

A) There are people making just under six figures who think it’s smart to finance a car that costs about the same as their annual salary (I think it’s a bad idea, but I just observe, no judgment).

B) Then there are those with a lot of disposable income, earning anywhere from $150k to $400k+ (mostly in sales, so it varies).

C) Lastly, you have middle to upper-middle-class folks who avoid debt, have assets, a solid income, and usually have pets but not too many kids.

It’s a bit of a generalization, but that’s been my personal experience as a car enthusiast.

It feels like every company these days is jacking up prices on anything people need or want to buy. It’s getting seriously out of hand. Honestly, if Americans just stopped shopping for a while, it might send a message and make them think twice.

No problem, we’ll just stretch out the financing to 120 months!

The funny thing is, the Bronco Raptor isn’t even the coolest Bronco out there.

Personally, I’d go for a fully loaded 2-door Bronco Wildtrak with Eruption Green Metallic paint, the 354A High Package, Trailer Tow, and Bash Plates. The total comes to $66,485, and it looks absolutely stunning. The 2-door version looks way better than the 4-door models, hands down.

You save over $30k, get a more capable off-roader, and avoid the whole “wannabe desert racer” vibe.
