Gf and I are looking at a new truck for camping, rn we are deciding between a Raptor Ranger and a F-150 Tremor. I like the specs of the tremor a lot but I feel it’s fairly similar to the Raptor Ranger looking at the trucks.
What would you all say if you had to pick between the two?
If you get a regular F-150 with the 7.2 kW built-in generator, you’ll have the ability to power just about anything you can think of while camping.
Since I already have an F-150, switching to a Ranger would be a downgrade for me. I prefer the Tremor model.
This mainly comes down to size.
Both trucks are capable and packed with features, making them great for camping. The key question is whether you need the extra size and towing/hauling capacity of the F-150.
If you don’t, I’d suggest going for the Ranger Raptor. It’s more fun, comes with all the Raptor features, and it will definitely ride better both on and off-road, thanks to those shocks. Plus, it’s a Raptor!
Personally, I’d choose the Ranger Raptor. I don’t do much towing, and anything I would put in the bed of my F-150 would also fit in the Ranger.
