Raptor Purchase Help

Hi, I’m obviously new here.

I wanted to ask for you Raptor enthusiasts and whoever owns a Ford Raptor.

I am looking into getting one, Toyota is really not cutting it, I’ve seen the new lines of pickups and they di not impress me at all. Anyways.

I’ve been seeing a LOT of Ford Raptors from the years 2018 through 2020

Miles ranging from 40k through 66k

The price they are asking at the dealers ranges from $45k to $66k

My question is. Would it be a good buy?

I saw a $46k 2019 Ford Raptor with 66,000 miles.

Is the price too expensive or is it a good deal? I’ve heard about the issues about cam phasers and all that.

Please be honest and straight to the point

It depends. A truck involves more factors than just its mileage.

If you’re looking for a straightforward answer: go ahead and buy it! Then come back here and share some photos!

I purchased my 2020 LFG with the 802a package, 30,000 miles, extended warranty, and everything included for $52,000 out the door. No regrets at all. Be sure to check the shocks, cam phasers, and other components, but honestly, the truck is incredible.

The price seems pretty comparable, though it would depend on the specific upgrades and features. At $46k for a 2019 model, your interest rate is likely around 8%, meaning payments could be close to $1,000 a month. If you’re considering a model priced closer to $66k, it might be worth thinking about buying a new one instead. And if you’re paying in cash, I’d recommend considering a new one over a used model.

That sounds like a solid deal! I’m considering a 2019 802a myself, with 104k miles, priced at $41k.

I think the R is definitely the way to go—700+ HP, a blower, and a 5-link suspension. If they made it in a SuperCab, we’d probably be ready to mortgage the house!

Personally, I’d aim for a Gen 3, but any Raptor with low mileage and a solid maintenance history would be a great choice.
