Local dealer claims to have 29 new F150 Raptors... and adds an ADM on all packages?

I couldn’t believe it. I just kept walking. Apparently, Oxnard CA is the Raptor capital of the US. Who knew?

Edit: Just to clarify, ‘Oxnard’ refers to the only Ford dealership there, so if you’re looking to avoid them, now you know.

They should be named so we know which ones to avoid. Don’t buy from any dealership that charges an ADM, and let them know why you’re not buying from them.

Must be Envision Ford in Oxnard. They are one of the worst dealerships to deal with. I contacted them about a Raptor, and they tried to pull a bait and switch with the pricing. Then they wanted to charge me an extra 2k for paint protection and other nonsense I didn’t ask for. I bought from a different place and had a much better experience.

@Xavi
Yep, that’s them

I’m in Camarillo and looking for a Raptor. Which dealership did you work with that was good? I’m avoiding Envision too.

Granger Ford in Iowa. I had my truck shipped to my house. Never even stepped foot in the dealership and saved $12k compared to Envision.

@Xavi
Thank you!

I paid MSRP at Fremont Ford just two days ago.

I did that too. I showed him listings where there were discounts of up to $4k, and all he said was that they do really well in this area. It’s funny because I’ve seen the same trucks on their lot for the past 2 months since I started paying attention.

There’s a dealer in Colorado that’s doing the same thing with huge markups.

Which dealer is that?

If I remember right, the number one dealer is in Texas and they don’t add any markup, just MSRP. I’ll try to remember their name and add it here.

Are you thinking of Town and Country Ford?

Need to know this one for sure.

If they’re sitting on 29 Raptors, it’s only a matter of time before those ADMs drop.

They’re not targeting clients like you (luckily). But sadly, this pricing strategy works for some dealers.

What’s ADM?

Haha, I had the same question :joy:

It stands for Additional Dealer Markup.

What’s the best Ford dealer in Southern California? I’m definitely avoiding Envision when it’s time to buy mine.

Porterville, near Visalia has one at MSRP.

Brentwood (in Northern California) has one for $2500 below MSRP but doesn’t have a sunroof.
