Who has it? Where’d you get it? What do I need to run it on? What is it capable of doing? I was a tech at a few dealerships (not Ford) and was wondering if it’s close to a factory scan tool.
Forscan is a tool you can find on their website. It works on Windows and lets you modify settings in your car. It’s similar to other tools but not as powerful.
I went to their website at work…Forscan org and it didn’t work.
I have it and followed the purchase recommendations from the website. From what I’ve heard from Ford techs, it can handle reprogramming tasks that the factory tools or dealers can’t. It’s impressive to be able to reprogram various modules.
It can’t program key fobs, but when it comes to DTCs and tests, I’d say it’s pretty comparable to the factory tool. It’s quite powerful and a no-brainer, especially considering it costs only about $60.
Check Google, YouTube, or the Forscan forums—you’ll find the info faster than reading this Reddit post.
There are countless videos and forum posts that explain exactly where and how to use the program.
The first thing I used was FORScan the same day I picked up my '24 Raptor last week. I’m loving the special FORScan software (not publicly released), which lets me update the modules without needing FDRS. One thing to note—Ford techs don’t use FORScan since it’s not their authorized software, so they stick with FDRS.
Dude, you’re going to love this. There are entire forums dedicated to Raptors, FORScan, off-roading, and suspension mods. Google is definitely your friend!
