Ford Tremor vs Raptor… which one would you pick?

If you had the choice, which would you take—Ford Tremor or a non-R Ford Raptor?

If I’m paying, neither. The Tremor is great but still overpriced. The Raptor? Way out of my league—it costs double my house payment (bought my house in 2009, no judgment).

If someone handed me one for free? Raptor, all day. Even an older one with the 6.2L would be awesome. I just can’t justify dropping $100k on a truck.

@Fraser
Oh, don’t get me wrong, the Raptor R is crazy expensive for me too :joy:. I’m talking about a 2019 F-150 Raptor base model.

Raptor for sure.

Raptor. It rides better, looks cooler, and holds value better. But realistically, I can’t afford either one.

If money doesn’t matter, the only reasons to go for the Tremor are size and towing. The Raptor is bigger and wider—better suited for open spaces. If you need to tow more than 8,200 lbs or park in tight spots, the Tremor makes more sense.

Otherwise, the Raptor wins with better ride quality, cooler looks, and more power from its high-output 3.5L.

@Peyton
I’ll mostly use mine for work (I’m an electrician) and a little fun too.

I owned a 2017 Raptor and it was a blast—looked badass too. But honestly, I wouldn’t get another one unless it was the R. It’s just so massive. Loved it off-road, but the daily driving and price difference weren’t worth it for me.

Now, I’d go with a Tremor or even a Ranger Raptor.

@Maxwell
Thanks for sharing your experience :pray:.

I’d go with the Maverick. Raptor and Tremor are cool, but I’ll take 30 mpg any day.

:joy: True!

Tremor unless you’re planning on jumping dunes or doing Baja runs.

Tremor with the V8, hands down. Add a nice exhaust and it’ll sound better and tow better than the Raptor. Plus, it’s easier to park. But if you’re going Baja-style, then Raptor all the way.

I picked the EB Tremor for towing and payload. I also didn’t want the ‘Raptor image’ when showing up to client meetings.

Tremor has been great—comfortable, quiet, and solid for forest service roads. I’ve gotten as high as 22 mpg on the highway driving between California and Colorado.

If you’re buying, get Pro-Power. It’s a game-changer and rare on most Tremors/Raptors. Also makes them more desirable if you sell later.

Tremor for me.

Whichever one doesn’t come with all those weird orange accents.

I’ve owned both and would stick with my Raptor every time. The Tremor just doesn’t feel worth the price to me.
