Make sure it’s certified or get the dealership to perform a thorough inspection. Check the cam phasers, shocks, and the frame. A 1-year warranty would be a good idea too.
I’ve been thinking about a 2012 with 110k miles for $18.5k. The seller is willing to let me do a pre-purchase inspection.
I paid $33k for a 2013 with 90k miles. It was in great condition, had everything I wanted, and came with a solid service history. Some might say I overpaid, but it’s the exact truck I wanted.
I have a 2017 with almost 70k miles, and it’s been great. No issues yet, and it still has the original cam phasers and plastic oil pan.
