Caught a Ford Raptor in action… thoughts?

Grabbed this shot during the first AVANTS Offroad event near Seattle, WA. It poured rain for five hours, so I spent the day capturing everyone driving through the off-road park. Let me know what you think!

Holy crap! Someone actually took a Raptor off the road? I’m impressed!

Great shot. I usually don’t like running lights in photos, but they really work here.

Thanks! This was just a grab from the event. I don’t often get the chance to control details like running lights, but I agree—they can be hit or miss.

This looks like a Ford ad! Funny timing—I just posted my own Raptor shot. Some of these events get crazy when people start jumping.

Love the energy in this shot. Keep these coming!

This is more processed than I’d usually like, but it works really well here. Kind of gives off a cyberpunk vibe.

The shot itself is fantastic either way!

Thanks! Honestly, I didn’t do much processing other than balancing the exposure. I kept everything underexposed that day to avoid bumping up my ISO too much. The shots started off dark, but the K1 camera gave me enough latitude to work with. I think I’m still in the habit of compensating for older cameras I used to shoot with.

That makes it even cooler. It’s great when a relatively unprocessed shot comes out this good.

Thanks! I’ve rage quit Photoshop more times than any video game, so all my editing is just basic adjustments in Lightroom—white balance, shadows, highlights. I’ve gotten quick at it. I can shoot a show, edit 600+ photos in a few hours, and have them posted everywhere. Starting fresh in a new city and building up my work is something I love doing.

That’s awesome! My computer’s been broken since I got my camera, so I’ve been editing everything on my phone using Enlight.

Oof, that sounds tough. Hope you get your computer fixed soon!

I want one!
