I’m in between one of those. I need a new car and I consider both perfect candidates. In terms of reliability and performance which one is better?
I test drove both and went with the F-150. It was much quieter on the road and felt like a higher-quality driving experience overall. The Braptor just felt cheaper to me. The cabin was very loud, almost like a Jeep (which I guess is part of its appeal), and it’s also much smaller inside.
I like the look of the Bronco, but I looked in a non Raptor and was rather underwhelmed. A lot of plastic. Frustrating when you’re paying nearly 100k for the Braptor.
I’ve got both. I’m currently on my third F-150 Raptor, a 2024 with the 37” tire package. My Braptor is a 2023.
When it comes to which is better to drive, the F-150 takes it, hands down. It’s more refined, luxurious, and just has better overall quality.
However, most mornings, I end up picking the Braptor. Parking the truck is a pain—it’s just huge. If I’m only going from work to my office and back, I might take the truck, but if there’s a chance I’ll be parking somewhere tight, the Bronco wins.
The Bronco can be more fun at times. I scored a factory soft top from a standard Bronco owner who didn’t want it, and picked up a few other small parts so I can switch tops easily. Going top-down in the summer is awesome, but it gets old quickly.
If the weather took a turn and I had to pick one to drive, I’d probably go with the Bronco. It’s a great balance of size and power with the shorter wheelbase, plus I added a winch to it.
You can’t go wrong with either, but if I had to pick just one, I’d stick with the truck.
For daily driving, comfort, and luxury, the F-150 wins hands down. The biggest advantage the Bronco has over the F-150 is being able to take the top off. Other than that, the choice is pretty easy for me.
Interior space is definitely a key consideration. I love the idea of the Braptor, but it just doesn’t offer enough room for me.
