Want a used gen 2 raptor out of the gen 2 what year would be best to buy ford certified preowned?
The best Raptor of the three is the white 2018, fully spec’d out with the top-tier 802A package, which adds about $10k in extras. The grey 2019 comes with the 801A package, and the blue 2019 is a base model with the 800A package.
I paid $55k for a 2019 CPO with 40k miles about three months ago. Looks like you’re also in California—I had to go all the way to Havasu to get mine. Everything here in CA is priced significantly higher. Plus, don’t forget all the hoops you have to jump through to register it here. I had to get a smog check, weigh the vehicle, visit the DMV, and pay CA taxes and registration. In hindsight, I’d happily pay a bit more just to avoid the DMV!
I have the same Ford Performance blue on my 2019. Go with the blue one!
I’ve checked out some Raptors on CarGurus here in Colorado, and there are hardly any newer models in this price range for CPOs with low mileage. They generally cost $5-10k more. I definitely want a Raptor one day, but not at the current prices in my state.
Opt for the blue 2019. It has lower mileage, beadlock-capable wheels, and obviously better shocks compared to the 2018 model. Plus, I’m pretty sure the 2018s come with a plastic oil pan, which isn’t great.
I have the blue one, and I really love the color. Mine has 95k miles, and I wrapped it around a few trees two years ago. If you’re interested, you can buy mine!
Don’t those model years have steering wheels that start to peel?
