I just picked up a 2017 F-150 Lariat, and I take back everything I’ve ever said about Ford. GM can suck it lol.
I’ve got a ‘16 Lariat in the same color combo, and I love it. Running the 5.0, just hit 119k!

I’ve got a ‘15 with 95k miles. She’s been great!

That’s a lot of miles! Respect.
@Jin
Are those miles combined, or per lady? Either way, that’s impressive!

As Indiana Jones once said: ‘It’s not the years, it’s the mileage.’ Applies here too!

I’ve got a ‘15 3.5 EB Lariat with ~86k. Working from home since 2020 has kept the miles down. I’d love a Ranger Raptor, but I’m too attached to this truck.

Great to see one of my many patients again!
GM trucks drive nice, but they’re junk. The F-150 isn’t perfect, but at least I didn’t have to visit the dealer five times before the first oil change.

My biggest gripe with GM trucks is the rearview mirrors—they’re mounted way too low.
@Reagan
For me, it’s the V8s that seem to self-destruct before they even break in.

I had a V6 with 89k miles, babied it, and the transmission still gave out. Total letdown.
@Pippin
Funny enough, GM and Ford shared the same transmission tech back then. Hopefully, yours is the 6-speed paired with the 5.0. If so, you dodged a bullet.

My dad had a 2003 Yukon Denali with the 6.0, and it hit 350k before rust killed it. Meanwhile, his newer 2015 Sierra with a 5.3 failed at 49k. He swapped it for a 2019 6.2… and that one failed at 33k. It’s a shame what GM has become.
Great color combo! I traded in my 2014 Chevy LT (which ran reliably to 240k miles) for a Lariat, and it’s just so much nicer.

240k miles is amazing! My 2017 LT gave up at 89k.
@Pippin
Lots of highway miles. The first year alone I put 36k on it.
