Saw this mod online and curious if anyone has done something similar. Thoughts?
Just grab a Toyota emblem from a Land Cruiser, that’s what I did.

I’m planning to do this after winter. The challenge is figuring out the best way to attach the bolts to the emblem and fit them through the grille.
Most YouTube tutorials show it being done on Land Cruisers or 4Runners, which have different grille designs. Any tips based on your experience?
@Remy
I went to Home Depot, found some brackets that worked, and glued them to the emblem using epoxy. Pretty straightforward.

Why even bother doing this?
Why not? I think the Toyota letters on the grille look nice. I’m not trying to pretend it’s a TRD or anything.
Have you thought about a taco vinyl grille?

Not worth it, and honestly, it doesn’t look great.
It looks a bit better if you blackout the emblem, but as shown, I agree. Not really sold on the look.

Totally agree with you.

Same here. Plus, lights like this can be super distracting on the road.
Why go for a blurred-out badge?

It’s blurred out in the image because they can’t legally show the Toyota branding. It’s not part of the mod itself.
Looks like some classic AliExpress modding here.

Just so you know, the amber lights on grilles started as a regulation thing for wider vehicles like semis and big trucks. People just jumped on the bandwagon because it looked ‘cool,’ but depending on your state, it could actually be illegal.
@Remy
Actually, it’s about vehicle width. Anything over 80 inches wide requires clearance lights. Trucks like the Ford Raptor had to include them, and they chose to integrate them into the grille instead of putting them on the roof like semis.
@Remy
As long as the lights aren’t flashing, they increase visibility, so I don’t see why it would be an issue.
@Remy
I actually work in construction, so my grille lights are legal. I even have flashing amber and green ones.
That’s ugly as hell.

Good thing it’s not your car then, huh?
No need to be rude—they didn’t ask for your opinion on the look.
Just get these lights instead. Much easier to install: Amazon link.
