Anyone know how to remove all the red inside the truck?

I know some might think I’m crazy, but I love the all-black interior look. I’m getting a Raptor and want to remove all the red accents—dashboard, steering wheel, seats—you name it, and make them black.

For the steering wheel, I think a black cover should work, but what about the dashboard? Should I take it to a paint shop to remove and repaint the pieces, or could a vinyl shop do it with decals? Any other ideas?

The seats seem trickier. Can you even paint red leather black, or would it just be easier to replace the seats? Thoughts?

Should’ve gone with the Hyundai, just saying.

Just use scissors. Problem solved.

You can use paints made for leather, vinyl, and plastic. Detailers use them often.

Would I do this to a new truck? Probably not, but it’s your call.

Check this out.

Talking about the Ranger Raptor, right?

You can get a custom steering wheel made or just grab a cover from the parts store. For the seats, reupholster them or use seat covers.

For the dashboard trim, you’ll need to take it apart and paint it. A shop would do better than trying spray cans, which might look bad.

And it’s not red—it’s Code Orange.

Why not just buy a truck with an all-black interior?

The Raptor is perfect for me in every way except for those orange accents. No other truck comes close to what I need.

@Andi
So do all Raptors have those orange accents?

Yeah, there’s no option to change the accents.

Got it, makes more sense now lol.

Have you thought about just tinting your windows? It would hide the red and still leave everything intact in case you sell it later.

By the way, congrats on the upgrade to a Raptor! Coming from a V6 Dodge, that’s a solid move.

And if you really want to embrace it, maybe lean into those bed graphics—they might balance out the red accents. Two negatives make a positive, right? (Pretty sure Archimedes said that…probably.)
