Has anyone had any luck with 2024 raptors at msrp? Looking to get back into a gen3 but it’s becoming quite exhausting searching and calling. Prices are advertised at one price but then when you call its a game. I had one place tell me the markup changes by the day. Is this something we think is going to go away once enough hit the market or is it just going to be a battle going forward?
Don’t pay a mark-up on a Raptor. You can and will be able to get them for MSRP after a few months. With interest rates as they are, don’t let dealers take advantage of you. Prices will come down over time. My advice is to either go in near the end of the month or email several dealers then, letting them know that whoever drops the mark-up first will get the sale.
I have not taken delivery yet, but I have a deposit placed on a 2024 801A with sunroof and bedliner for MSRP. It is due to arrive early April.
We will see what games I have to play when it arrives LOL
The 35 Raptor is relatively easy to find at MSRP. The 37 Raptor is a bit more challenging to locate at MSRP, but they can still be found. From my experience, the R version is almost impossible to get at MSRP unless you have a solid relationship with a dealership or are willing to wait a long time.
At this stage, buying off the lot or what is essentially an incoming dealer stock unit is likely your worst option. Your best chance of getting MSRP is through an allocated order since the dealer needs to have a customer for those. You’re looking at backout or gift stock units, which are fewer and more competitive, especially since many people didn’t secure an order beforehand.
In terms of likelihood to get MSRP in the short term, consider these options: wait to see if things cool down or if many orders are abandoned, call to find an unclaimed allocation, or reach out to find a dealer with an abandoned or stock unit.
The 35 Raptor is relatively easy to locate at MSRP, while the 37 Raptor is a bit more difficult to find at that price, though it’s still possible. In my experience, finding the R version at MSRP is almost impossible unless you have a strong relationship with a dealership or are willing to wait for an extended period.
I work in Ford sales at a dealership in MN, and I have an out-of-state deal pending for our 801A in black with a moonroof that should arrive on our lot any day now. I’m unsure if the deal will go through, but I’d be happy to sell it to you if it doesn’t. If you’re interested in case it falls through, feel free to send me a message.
Edit: Selling at MSRP.
