I’m holding onto my V8 Raptor until my son is old enough to drive. He’s currently 19 months old.
Wow, $7,500 for the 37” package!
Given that it uses a modified frame, it’s not too surprising. The R&D costs have to be covered somehow.
Honestly, it’s not a bad deal when you factor in the cost of the lift, the added expense of the tires, the spare fitting, and keeping your warranty intact. It’s still pricey, but compared to doing it aftermarket, it’s not a bad option.
That sounds about right when you consider what they’re making you bundle, like the Recaro seats, graphics/decals, and carbon fiber accents. I kind of wish you could just get the actual performance upgrades without all the extras.
It’s not too surprising, considering the Sasquatch package on the Bronco is an extra $5k, and this includes that and even more.
I know 37s are pricey, but wow. I don’t think they even changed the gearing. If it’s just for the warranty, I’d rather keep the stock wheels, buy the 37s separately, and just swap them on and off when needed for warranty purposes.
Everyone’s complaining about the price of this truck like there isn’t already a big market for $80k+ trucks in America. The Raptor is a statement vehicle, and nothing else compares to it. Sure, you could buy a luxury SUV for that price, but that’s not what Raptor buyers are looking for.
Yeah I’ll pass, the interior and rear suspension are nice but not enough to justify an upgrade quite yet
