2020 Raptor on Method Wheels

Weather here in the PNW is giving that moody, foggy vibe and thought it was a good chance to grab some pics. Not a photographer by any stretch but I thought these looked good. Also finally got my truck dialed in on a Stage 1 ECU/TCM Tune by Goosetuned. Definitely wakes the truck up and improves the shifts of the transmission. Can’t wait to keep doing small things here and there to this thing, it’s a blast to own!

These are some awesome shots, my friend!

What’s that 4-engine prop plane?

That would be a Douglas C-124 Globemaster II, nicknamed “Old Shaky.” I currently fly as a loadmaster on the C-17A Globemaster III which is the Air Force’s current airlift workhorse. The bird she’s parked next to is the Lockheed C-141 Starlifter.

Nice Raptor! I’ve been considering the goosetune myself! How do you get your hands on it? Does it void the warranty?

Thank you!

You can grab the Cobb Accessport, which is the device used to datalog and upload the tunes, directly from Goosetuned’s website. They offer a package deal where you can get both the device and the ECU/TCM tune together, which is what I did.

The tune itself won’t necessarily void the warranty. For instance, if something unrelated to the tune fails and it can’t be traced back to the tune, Ford or the dealership should still honor the warranty for that part. However, if an engine component fails and Ford can link it to the extra power from the tune, they could deny warranty coverage. It also depends on the dealership—some are cool with aftermarket mods and will help with warranty claims, while others may be more strict.

What wheels and offset are these? I’m trying to decide myself, and these sit perfectly! Beautiful setup!

Thank you for the compliment!

These are the Method 703’s, 17x8.5 with a +25 offset. This offset is perfect in my opinion, a lot of guys like to run a zero offset wheel and I think that pushes it out too far past the fender for my taste. These sit almost perfectly flush with the fender, the only thing that pokes out a bit is the tread of the tire but I think that’s more the tire choice I made than anything. You can’t go wrong with the Methods!
