Is there any debate? Or is there only one right answer?
Premium gas only?
Edit: after dropping that much money on a truck, I don’t care about an extra dollar or so per gallon… just looking for the true answer

Higher octane gas doesn’t contain more “energy” than lower octane fuel. Octane acts as a combustion inhibitor, preventing knocking and pinging in higher compression engines. Turbocharged and supercharged engines should use high octane fuel for optimal performance, but it doesn’t benefit engines that don’t require it. Edit: Those downvoting clearly don’t understand the topic.
Using premium fuel is the way to go to maximize your vehicle’s performance. Plus, if it helps you justify the cost, it can also improve fuel economy.
I stick with standard fuel because premium costs an extra dollar per gallon.
I use 91 since it’s a performance vehicle
I want to sound impressive by saying 98, but EU 98 is really just 93. I don’t understand why we use research octane instead of minimum octane.
