With the Raptor R getting faster and more powerful, are these upgrades really what people want right now?
Ford should focus on building more trucks instead of adding more features. People just want them available without huge markups.

The marketing team for the Raptor deserves an award. Somehow they’ve made it a must-have for everyone, no matter where they live. It’s crazy.
@Morgan
It’s not that hard to figure out… truck jumps = cool.

Well, it’s no GMC, but…
cues country music ‘I’m not the kind to kiss and tell, but I’ve been seen with Farrah…’
@Morgan
Honestly, they’re just awesome.
@Morgan
Think about it:
- Want 0-60 in 4 seconds?
- Deal with potholes?
- Ever go to the desert?
- Have 2.3 kids?
- Need to tow or haul big stuff?
- Like burnouts?
- Want heated/cooled seats?
- Buy American?
- Love supercharger whine?
- Want to conquer snow or mud?
Gas prices aside, this truck ticks a lot of boxes.
@Dez
It’s funny because other cars like the CT5-V Blackwing can check some of those boxes too, but not all of them.

True, but the CT5-V won’t handle the desert or crazy potholes like this beast. Still, it comes closer than most cars.
@Morgan
I live in Brooklyn, and this thing wouldn’t even fit down my driveway, but it’s still my dream truck.

Are we talking about Raptor Rs? Ford doesn’t want to make too many. It hurts their EPA numbers.

People don’t understand these aren’t regular trucks. High-end, top-trim models like this are always going to be rare and marked up, especially if you go to big-city dealers. Look for large-volume dealers outside major areas.
@Vince
Find me one at MSRP that’s not already marked up by hidden fees. I guarantee you won’t find it.

They exist if you look hard enough, especially on sites like Cargurus. But yeah, they’re not common.
@Vince
That’s still a markup, though. MSRP with no hidden fees is almost impossible to find unless you’re on a waiting list.
Why no 6.5’ bed yet?

6.5’ beds are great, but not so much for off-roading… they’d just get stuck.

Do people even take Raptors off-road anymore?

Yes, people absolutely take Raptors off-road. Go to any dunes park, and you’ll see plenty of them.

I off-roaded my 2023 Raptor after just 48 hours. These trucks are made for that.
