Why Can’t I Hang Up Calls from the Steering Wheel?

Oh man, that’s annoying.

Feels like a huge missed detail, for sure.

Honestly, might be worth bringing up at the dealership just to see what they say.

Yeah, it caught me off guard the first time.

Would’ve been nice if the button next to volume up could be used to answer or hang up. Easy fix, Ford.

Most annoying thing about my 2023 model! All those buttons and no end call option :rofl:

Funny, my Gen 2 has buttons for this. Why wouldn’t Ford keep that feature?

The Gen 3 Raptor has extra spots for ‘R’, suspension, and exhaust settings. So they skipped the phone button. You can answer with the OK button but can’t hang up. I just use the CarPlay screen.

@Niko
Using CarPlay is fine, but I usually have Google Maps up, so I have to click back a couple of times just to end the call.

If you’re on a call, the clock on CarPlay turns green. Tapping it brings you back to the phone screen.

This might be my biggest pet peeve, honestly!

I’m on iOS 18.1, and they moved the hang-up button closer to the driver side of the screen. I have a 2022 model, and it’s pretty convenient now. You could also set up an iOS shortcut to hang up when you say ‘bye’. Might not work perfectly, but worth a shot.

The track buttons could definitely double as call buttons during a call. The Bronco Sport has that feature; not sure why the Ranger and F-150 don’t.

Ford sure knows how to push the limits. Isn’t Trump a Ford fan? :us:
