Water pump replacement

I love my 2015 Fiesta I can make a 44 mile round trip each day for 7 days to work on a tank of gas. My water pump went out and I can do most of my own repairs but damn. The timing belt is in the way, alternator and a motor mount has to come off. I bought all the parts pump, timing belt, serpentine belt and a new flywheel pulley bolt but I’m giving up and taking it to a shop. Anyone know of a place to sell back new parts?

Maybe try finding a mobile mechanic. I’m not sure where you’re located, but there are a lot of pros going rogue around here lately. I’ve almost exclusively used them for things I can’t handle, and all my experiences have been great (just make sure to read the reviews first!).

My local shop won’t do it. I found one 30 miles away that will do it for $460 using my parts but no warranty on the parts. I’m having it towed there and probably just pay extra for the parts so I have the piece of mind that if anything fails quickly I can get it replaced. Whatever happened to making it easy to fix your own stuff? It’s aggravating.

Have the shop use your parts.

Interesting how old is your car?
