I recently got a 24 in avalanche. A week after buying, I got ceramic tint of 20% all the way around. It’s basically blacked out looking and I can’t decide if I’ve gone too far and it looks trashy. Debating taking the driver and passenger off and doing something lighter.
Thoughts?
Does that include the windshield? I went with 5% on the sides and 50% on the front, but if I had to do it over, I’d definitely choose a lighter option.
I had the windshield done too, but it’s just a clear tint—I’m not sure about the percentage. They also added a visor, which I really like.
20% doesn’t look bad at all—most vehicles around here in the Southwest have it. 5% can look overdone, but at 20%, I can still see through it when it’s sunny. Just enjoy it; I think it’s the perfect level.
I’ve got a ‘23 Avalanche, and I tinted it all the way around. Personally, I really like it! Living in South Florida, it’s great for sun protection. But at the end of the day, it’s your truck, so go with whatever you think looks best!
I have the same truck and did the exact same thing, including tinting the sunroof, but I left the front windshield untouched. If I did it again, I’d go with 35% on the front two windows. Overall, it looks clean, and I’m happy with it—it’s a lifesaver in the Texas heat!
Yeah, I get it—it’s great for blocking the heat, but deciding on the look can be tricky.
It looks clean and in no way looks trashy in my opinion.
20% looks good, in my opinion. Anything darker can be too much, especially at night. I’d suggest waiting until summer to see if you still feel like changing it.
20 everywhere but the windshield. 70 for that
