I’m looking into getting a Raptor R but wondering how it holds up as a daily driver in Midwest winters, where temps range from -20 to 30 degrees. Anyone here use theirs in extreme cold? Any issues with traction, starting in the cold, or general winter performance?
It’s a truck. It will drive.
I’m sure it’s absolute garbage, considering all the ‘holy crap, this is the greatest truck ever’ posts around here.

The truck is literally designed and built in Michigan… which, last I checked, is in the Midwest.

It was designed for Baja runs, though.

Yeah, no kidding. That’s what it was built for, but it’s tested, manufactured, and used in Michigan.
@Wei
They actually have a test facility in Tooele, Utah. They call it ‘Raptor Land.’
It’s cold in the mornings until it warms up. Use the remote start feature so the cabin is nice and toasty before you hop in.
Like any turbocharged engine, you need to let it warm up properly. Take it easy until the transmission gets up to temp.
But honestly, what exactly are you asking? Is there a modern vehicle that can’t handle those conditions? Pretty odd question.
Oh yeah, totally built out of glass. Only works in sunny San Diego, where it’s 75 degrees year-round and never rains. Definitely can’t handle snow, ice, or even mildly dewy conditions.

You might be thinking of the Cybertruck.
