I’ve always loved the way the F-150 Raptor looks. Right now, I drive a 2018 Explorer, and I’m happy with it, but I have the option to upgrade if I want. I think the Raptor would be a really fun daily driver, but I have a couple of questions: 1) If I only take it off-road a few times a year, is it still worth it? 2) I really like the look of the 802A package compared to the 801A, but is it a waste of $11k if it’s mostly for the looks?
If I don’t go with the Raptor, I’d probably consider the Lexus 700h or Infiniti QX80.
@Mack
Saw one at a dealership near me for $94k (they say they have a lower price if you ask). It has 37s, Recaros, all the upgrades. Not sure if that’s a good deal, but it’s been sitting there a while.
I’m in a similar situation. Currently driving a 2024 M4 Competition, but I used to have an F-150 and really miss the size and feel of a big truck. Thinking of making the switch soon.

I went from a Tacoma to an F80, then a G80, and now I have a 2024 802A Raptor alongside a GT4. No regrets. The G80 is probably the best sports sedan out there, but I actually enjoy driving the Raptor more.
@Dez
I hear that. I got my G82 as a daily, but my job makes me park in a gravel lot, and now I barely drive it. If it gets out once a week, that’s a lot. Just don’t have time to really enjoy it, and it feels like a waste sitting in the garage.
It’s a blast as a daily driver, but if you’re in a city with tight parking, garages, or parallel spots, it might be annoying. The 802A package is mostly for looks, so if that’s what you want, go for it. You only live once!
