They look aggressive, but Mud Grapplers are loud and handle terribly.
Fake patina just doesn’t do it for me.

It’s because there’s no texture, and the light reflection looks weird.

Yeah, because you can tell it’s fake. It’s like it’s trying too hard to look old.

I don’t even like real patina, so this is double no for me.
Making a new aluminum truck look old and beat up feels off to me.

It’s the overdone rust look that kills it. This feels like someone cranked a ‘rust filter’ to the max.
But those wheels though.
I’m not a fan of the wrap, but I’ll admit the wrap job itself is really good. The wheels and tires look awesome too.
This post makes me think it belongs in a ‘shitty car mods’ thread.

Honestly, it does have that vibe. Hope it’s a wrap and not paint because that’d be even worse.

It’s definitely a wrap. No one paints cars like this anymore.
@Ali
Thank God for that.
In classic cars, real patina comes from decades of use and neglect. Wrapping a truck to look weathered feels disingenuous to me.
Let’s not forget, aluminum doesn’t rust like this.
My truck’s achieving this look naturally—for free!
I like ratty vehicles when they’re sleepers, but fake rust wraps are just not it. They don’t follow natural patterns, and they look flat and weird.
Not a fan.

To each their own.
