Raptor as a daily driver… good idea or bad?

Anyone here using a Raptor as their daily driver? Be honest, I know I’d probably never take it off-road, but I love the way it looks. Modding a regular F-150 to look like a Raptor just doesn’t sit right with me. How’s the reliability on these trucks?

I saw a guy in a suit hop into his Raptor at Ford HQ and burn rubber out of the lot. My friend said, ‘That’s the COO.’ If he can do it, why not go for it?

Raptors are overkill as daily drivers. They feel too floaty, in my opinion. A Tremor is a better mix of capability and comfort, plus you can get the 5.0 and throw on a supercharger later.

Totally agree with this!

That’d be a beast of a truck.

Absolutely. I’ve seen supercharged F-150s that are crazy fast, especially with AWD. They stick to the road like glue.

If you’re worried about gas mileage, the PowerBoost F-150 is a better option. If not, then the Raptor is fine.

I love my PowerBoost as a daily driver. It’s fast, and I can still get 24-26mpg when I’m easy on the gas.

A Corolla is also great on gas, but that’s not the point of a Raptor.

Most Raptor owners use them for daily driving. Fuel efficiency and parking can be annoying, but otherwise, it’s just like any other truck.

Parking in tight spots, especially downtown, is a nightmare.

Parking during Thanksgiving weekend at Walmart? Good luck with that!

I daily my Raptor, and it’s awesome. I don’t care about the MPG because I can haul my family in comfort and safety.

What year is your Raptor, and what kind of mileage are you getting?

2023, and I’m getting around 13mpg.

V6 or V8?

V6. I just have a heavy foot.

You’d be the first Raptor owner to daily it! Just kidding, that’s what most people use them for.

Nobody daily drives Raptors… except for the guy in my neighborhood who takes his OG Raptor to his shift at Boston Pizza every day.

Go for a 5.0 Tremor. Better as a daily driver and still capable off-road.
