My truck was stolen just two days after I bought it… saved for 6 years to get a Raptor… any advice?

You should file a police report and call your insurance right away.

Wow, parked it out in the country? Think someone from the dealership might’ve copied your key and got your address? That would be my first guess…

Yeah, that’s what the police think too. It wasn’t even in plain sight.

@Vin
They disabled the tracker within 10 minutes. Got some surveillance of them entering a spot, parking it, then leaving.

Did it have a LoJack tracker? The dealer I bought mine from had one pre-installed.

@Case
Mine has LoJack too… they don’t tell you where it is. If yours did, maybe the dealer clued them in.

I found my LoJack pretty fast after I bought mine… it was in a ridiculously obvious spot.

What’s this tracker? Sounds like someone knew what they were doing…

@Brooke
The FordPass app tracker got disabled.

Definitely an inside job… sorry to hear, man.

Yep, sounds like an inside job… I’d start looking at people who work there.

In TX, Raptors, TRXs, and high-trim Super Dutys get stolen all the time. A lot of people I know have had trucks taken; it’s scary. They say they’re often taken for cartel orders, then sent to Mexico or stripped for parts. It’s super organized, not just petty thieves.

Sorry this happened to you, man. It really feels like you can’t have anything nice anymore in some areas.

@Kel
You can just say it… San Antonio, right?

Yeah, it’s bad. I travel between Dallas and Houston, but more of my coworkers have had issues in Dallas than Houston.

Austin has its own issues… especially from airport parking lots.

Do they target San Antonio more than El Paso? I figured El Paso would be worse since it’s right on the border.

San Antonio’s worst… Super Dutys are the top stolen vehicle there.

@Kel
That’s why my daily is an EV; no one wants to steal it.

Curious… is it a Tesla? Was thinking of going that route too since I hear they’re hard to steal.

Nah, I have a VW ID.4. My key uses some kind of rotating encryption, so as long as they don’t catch the signal, it’s pretty safe.
