Picked up a 2024 Raptor 801a with some nice upgrades from the previous owner. Had just 2k miles when I got it in October. Getting PPF installed next week. Super happy to finally own one after wanting a Raptor for years. Got a decent deal, so I went for it.

Do you not think the Bilsteins on the TRX compare to the Fox shocks on the Raptor? Just curious.

Not trying to be a fanboy here, but the TRX has had a lot of issues off-road, especially with the Bilstein shocks. They tend to break, particularly in the rear. I think Ram assumed most TRX owners wouldn’t actually off-road and focused more on the engine than the suspension.
Ford laid out the blueprint for a great off-roader with the Raptor, but Ram kind of phoned it in. It’s a shame because I’d love to see real competition for the Raptor.
That said, the Raptor doesn’t need more power—it’s already amazing as it is. My Gen 1 has been a blast, even doing 110 mph from Barstow to Vegas one night. Just my two cents, though!

Makes sense. I agree the extra power isn’t necessary, but as long as it doesn’t compromise the truck’s off-road abilities, I don’t see the harm. Sounds like the TRX might not hold up as well mechanically, though. Glad I went with the Raptor. Thanks for the insight!

Black wasn’t my first choice, but it’s grown on me. It looks amazing, even if it’s tough to keep clean. That’s part of why I’m getting the PPF—going full matte. Can’t wait to see how it turns out. I’ll post pics when it’s done. Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!
