I just want to declare my appreciation of these “warmer than average” seat heaters. As someone who sees the chiropractor weekly for back maintenance, I’ve found riding around with the heater on (in the cooler months at least) quite relaxing. I know some say they’re ungodly hot, but I’ve grown to really like them!
I love the heat, especially on those cold days, but I do wish the cooldown was faster. I always wonder if turning off the heater means it won’t kick back on.
It’s absolutely essential for colder weather, and the quick warm-up is a huge plus! I usually turn them off once the engine warms up and the cabin is comfortable because it can get a bit too hot if I leave both the heater and heated seats on max.
I didn’t like them at first, but they’ve definitely grown on me.
I sometimes wish I had them, especially when I’m leaving my girlfriend’s 5-story apartment in the morning and have to sit in my freezing car. 
I absolutely love them here in Canada during those freezing winter months, especially with a broken blend door actuator!
Unless it’s literally burning my butt, heated seats can never be too hot, in my opinion! You can always turn them off, haha.
