Hi! I’ve recently inherited my dad’s 2012 Raptor. It still has the original tires on it (it only has 80k miles) which are the BfG. Unfortunately, he passed 3 years ago and the truck hasn’t been driven much since and the tires are dry rotted.
I don’t plan to take it off road and actually will be traveling in it for the first year!
Check out the earlier comments, or as the song goes, “Take a Look, It’s in a Book, A Reading Rainbow!” We’re rooting for you—you can do anything!
My trusted mechanic told me that the new Nitto tires, according to the rep, have really dropped in quality. It’s apparently the same for Cooper tires if you’re looking to stick with American brands; both have gone downhill over the past year or so.
May the Force be with you, and congratulations on the new truck! It’s incredible that it was your dad’s and now it’s yours—cheers to that!
The KO3 only comes in an F load range for the stock size, so I’m not sure why others recommend it. The KO2 in a C load range would be a better option since it’s lighter and more suitable.
