High mileage 2014 Gen 1, stupid idea?

Looking at a 2014 6.2 Raptor SVT, at 240k miles

Clean title 240,000 miles New transmission Valve springs replaced along with VCG All fluids replaced 37’s

Price $25k

Am I stupid for considering buying this

I wouldn’t consider that for 240k miles at $25k. Maybe $15k.

I paid $31k for my Special Edition with under 100,000 miles. $25k for 240,000 miles is outrageous.

That’s a lot of miles… definitely a no from me.

If this is going to be your daily driver, then definitely not, brother. Don’t do it.

But if it’s just an extra vehicle, I’d feel ripped off paying even $20k—try to get him to lower the price.

It does sound like a lot of miles, but if it’s in great shape inside and out, why not? It seems like prices aren’t going any lower, right? I just saw a beaten-up 2013 with 130k miles for $25k, a 2014 with 100k miles for $30k, and another 2013, in much better condition, listed for $45k!

Is that in Canadian dollars? It’s still a bit high, but it’s more in the right range.

Reliable truck but 25k is too expensive

That’s a big “hell no,” brother! With a little patience, you could find a clean first-gen with around 100-120k miles for about $15-20k.

Priced way to high. I’ve seen plenty of 2013 and 2014s with ~100k priced at 30 - 32k.
