I’ve wanted a Raptor since the Gen1 came out, and I finally got my dream truck—a brand-new Gen3 earlier this year. At first, I was over the moon, but in just four months, I’ve already run into a handful of issues that are frustrating me:
Master switch module failed, and my rear passenger window wouldn’t go up. Ford fixed it.
Tailgate ajar warning won’t go away, and Ford can’t figure out what’s causing it.
Gauge cluster resets weekly. Sometimes it shuts off completely while I’m driving, leaving me with a blank screen. Setting up my preferences feels pointless since it resets anyway.
The auto vents behind the grille keep trying to actuate on startup, but they get stuck and snap back. Hard to explain, and Ford doesn’t know how to fix it.
None of these issues make the truck undrivable, but it’s frustrating that my $80k Raptor has more problems in four months than my $50k Ram ever did. Anyone else dealing with similar problems?
My 2022 has had the screen reset a few times, but it’s always been after an update. Annoying, sure, but it hasn’t been frequent enough to bother me. Otherwise, no issues.

Yeah, it doesn’t take long to reset everything, but for the price of these trucks, you’d think stuff like this wouldn’t be an issue.
@Orin
Totally agree. At least you’re still under warranty, so hopefully, Ford will get everything sorted soon. Sucks that it’s taking away from the experience, though.
