Waiting for my first 801A Raptor to be built. I hear the ecoboost, electronics, and suspension components can cause issues. I play to keep the truck for a long time.
Did you buy a warranty for yours? Worth it?
I’m eyeballing the 10yr /175k one from flood ford.
I’m in CA so I’ll need to find a loophole to get it.
Edit: if anyone knows any loop holes to get it in CA through flood ford, I’m all ears!
I purchased my 2019 Raptor through Flood Ford about 18 months after buying the truck. I got the extended warranty for six years and 150,000 miles with a $50 deductible for around $1,980, and I also bought the light warranty.
I’m currently at 50,000 miles and haven’t had to use the extended premium care warranty at all, which is fortunate! It gives me peace of mind, especially since a friend had to replace the 3.5L engine in his '18 F150, and it cost him almost $14,000.
When I buy another Raptor in a couple of years, I’ll likely get the warranty right before the original 36-month/36,000-mile coverage expires. Congrats on your purchase!
Ford ESPs are quite affordable and definitely worth purchasing if you plan to keep the truck. I got mine for around $2,000, covering 10 years and 100,000 miles with a $100 deductible.
I opted for a 5-year, 100,000-mile warranty. If you sell or trade the vehicle before the warranty expires, you can get credited back a portion of the cost. Purchasing the warranty gives you a good chance of having a trouble-free experience.
