Deal too good to be true?

Hello! Was looking for some help as I have not previously owned a Raptor before. There is a used 2023 with just under 7k miles selling for $68.5k. It has one owner, no accident history. This seems to be a really good deal but I wonder what is the catch. I’m going to go look at it soon. Any advice on what to watch out for? Thank you in advance!!

Edit: thanks for all the replies! I wound up buying i

That price is well below the market average (source). Other vehicles in that price range have salvage titles or reported damage. If it does have a clean history, I’d recommend getting a pre-purchase inspection for added peace of mind—otherwise, it’s a great find!

Thanks for the info. Thats similar to what I found too. How does one go about a pre-purchase inspection? I’ve only ever bought new.

Sounds solid, but hardly too good to be true.

I got my 2022 Gold CPO with 22k miles for $69k in October. Prices have been dropping, and I think they’ll keep going down. If it’s a truck you like, go check it out and grab it.

I see another close to me that has 28k miles for $60k. Have you enjoyed yours thus far? I owned a TRX a few years back and regret getting rid of it but Raptors seem to have more reasonable pricing.

Wow, is that what they’re going for now? I bought my 2023 new for MSRP in November 2023 for just over $84k, and I just hit 5,000 miles. It’s a bit depressing to hear it’s lost $15k in value in just a year.

I bought my 2023 for $67.5k with 20k miles on it. It’s an 801A trim, but it had the optional wheels and upgraded bed cover. The price is definitely dropping right now.

That’s a great deal, but you might want to double-check. I only see one that fits those details, and I believe it’s in your area. However, that one has an accident listed on Carfax. Is it blue?

I’d check where it was originally sold and registered. We’re post-hurricane season, and flood vehicles can be a huge problem. It might not have been totaled, but if the water was deep enough, the owner might not trust it won’t have future issues. If they never filed a claim, they could be trying to sell it at break-even instead of going through a rebuild or getting a totaled title.
