Daily Driver - Ford Raptor

Hey everyone I’m new to this subreddit. I’ve got a question and would love to hear everyone’s thoughts. I understand this may be a biased group to ask this question but want to hear reasonings. I’m looking to buy my first truck and really 50/50.

I’m looking into a 2022/23 raptor with about 20k miles on it or a brand new 24 ram 2500 cummins laramie. I get they’re both 2 completely different trucks but I’m thinking longevity, reliability and value. Yes a diesel truck produced more power, better fuel economy, etc. but maintenance can be more expensive. This truck will be a daily driver for me and I’m driving around 30mi daily and will do a couple long distance trips a couple times a year.

Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts. Thank you

My personal truck is a 2022 Raptor, and for work, I drive a 2020 Ram 3500 Diesel Tradesman. For daily driving, I’d definitely choose the Raptor. It’s much more thrilling to drive and provides a really comfortable ride. If you’re going to be doing a lot of towing, though, the Ram would be the better choice. I also enjoy camping and taking the Raptor off-road, so that’s a plus. Reliability hasn’t been a problem with the Raptor so far, but I’m only at 23,000 miles.

The Raptor is the clear choice.
