I have a 2024 Raptor. Anyone else have trouble with the CarPlay constantly? It goes in and out multiple times a day.
Quick tip:
Press and hold the volume button along with the fast-forward button until the screen resets; this should fix the issue.
But sometimes takes 2 or 3…or 15 resets to finally connect
I believe CarPlay issues are a Ford problem, not just specific to the Raptor. Both my Mustang and Bronco experience several CarPlay issues—sometimes it just completely stops working. It’s really frustrating.
It’s an Apple issue
I’ve noticed that having both Bluetooth enabled for CarPlay and the phone plugged in can cause issues. Try turning on WiFi on your phone (which disconnects Bluetooth CarPlay) and only use the cable connection. This solved about 90% of my problems.
Yeah, when you have the phone plugged in, it is still using Wireless CarPlay. You need to completely delete your phone from the Bluetooth settings and only use wired CarPlay if you want a rock-solid connection. The audio quality is technically better, and your phone gets charged. You’ll have no issues if you stick with wired CarPlay.
It’s 2023, and I’m having the same issue. I’ve ended up just using the plug-in connection until an update fixes it.
