Saw this in a busy parking lot today. Really frustrating when spots are already limited. Thoughts?
Glad these oversized beasts are a rare sight in the Netherlands.

Same here in the UK.

Actually, I see a fair few of these in London, especially in certain neighborhoods.

Our narrow country roads take care of them pretty quickly.

This isn’t even a full-size truck; it’s a Ranger. The ‘small’ one.
Not defending the driver, but those pillars make parking tricky. If he parked normally, he might not have been able to get back into the truck.

I get the frustration, but those pillars and tiny spaces are a bad combo. I don’t see how else they could have parked.

Simple solution: drive a normal-sized car instead of a massive ego booster in tight urban areas.

This truck is only about 79 inches wide with the mirrors folded in. For reference, a Camry is 72 inches. This isn’t about size; it’s about entitlement. They don’t want their $60K Ford Ranger scratched. Cars, no matter the cost, will get scratches and dents. That’s just life. Doesn’t give anyone the right to take up two spots. Signed, a car enthusiast with a muscle car.

Not everyone lives in the city. Some of us country folk need to bring our trucks into town occasionally. What do you suggest we do then, big-city expert?
@Finley
Maybe rent a smaller car for city trips? Or don’t drive a truck that’s unnecessarily huge for your needs.

So I have to spend extra money to make city folks happy? Why does everyone care so much about the size of my truck as long as I park it legally?
@Finley
Just don’t park like a jerk and you’ll be fine.

Because it’s not just about size—it’s about safety. These oversized trucks are often less safe for others on the road.

Maybe he should’ve kept looking for another spot.
Wow, shocking behavior. Totally unexpected.
Can we start censoring license plates in posts? Someone could trace this guy’s address using it.
Leave one of those cheap ‘male enhancement’ pumps on his door as a gift.
Maybe he owns both parking spots?
