Finally got my 2024 Ranger Raptor, and I’m loving it so far.
That Raptor logo looks like something from a wrestling shirt back in the 2000s.

Yeah, those decals are way too much. They’ve got to go.
Edit: Kinda reminds me of that old Windows logo bouncing around on screens.
@Ollie
And for $750? No way. Skip them and get some custom ones instead.
@Ollie
Are the decals easy to take off if you regret them?
Why is the FORD name on the grill so small? Seriously, why?

It’s not actually that small. It fits the truck perfectly. You really have to see it in person.

They were being sarcastic.
@Montana
Haha, yeah. I thought it was obvious sarcasm, but maybe I should’ve added /s.
Isn’t this just an F-150 now?

This is why I’m looking at the 2024 Ranger. It’s the same size as my old ‘99 F-150, but it gets better mileage and tows more.

I told my wife the exact same thing—‘The new Rangers are basically the size of the old F-150s!’
@Derry
Haha, I told mine that the Mavericks are about the same size as the old Rangers. Love the smaller trucks.
@Derry
Exactly. They’re almost the same dimensions but with 100+ more horsepower and half the engine size.

But does it have the reliability of the ‘99 F-150? I doubt it.
@Pax
Rangers are pretty tough. These newer models have been out in other countries for years and hold up well under brutal use. People are even comparing them to the Toyota Hilux.

Agreed. I’ve got a 2019 and haven’t had any issues. Just regular maintenance so far.
@Frey
Bought a used ‘21 last December. Drove it for 1,000 miles, and the transmission started acting up.

Yeah, the transmission is definitely the weak spot. That’s why they’re supposedly bringing a 6-speed manual to the US. It’s way more reliable than the 10-speed auto, which even had a lawsuit against it. Can anyone confirm?
@Oli
I hadn’t heard about the 6-speed, but I do know the revised 10-speed can handle over 400hp now. Still, if I’d known the V6 was coming this year, I would’ve waited.
